The XHS09DC150 is a 1500 ml (50.7 oz) lead-free crystal wine decanter, machine blown to a uniform wall and finished with a cold-cut rim that pours clean without dribbling. The beveled mouth sits at an angle, so the wine leaves in a thin sheet rather than a gulp, and the long neck over a wide base gives a young red a large surface to meet air in. At 249 mm tall and 921 g it reads as a table piece, and the polished surface resists fingerprints through a long evening of refilling. Clear crystal shows the colour of the wine without tinting it, which is most of the reason a decanter earns its place on a restaurant or banquet table.
