Care & Use

Before Your First Use: Remove all labels from your glassware. Wash the glasses in warm water using a gentle, non-abrasive dishwashing detergent or place directly in your dishwasher. Rinse and dry immediately with a lint-free towel or cloth.
To hand wash, use a gentle, non-abrasive dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly to assure no detergent residue is left as this can interfere with the aroma and taste of wines, beers and other beverages. Dry immediately with a lint-free towel or cloth.
Please note that XINGHUO glassware is dishwasher safe. If you choose to clean your stemware in a dishwasher, arrange securely in the top rack with the bowl facing down. DO NOT place in the bottom rack or lay glasses on their sides. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, immediately remove glasses from the dishwasher and hand dry with a lint-free towel or cloth.

Warning: Do not subject stemware to extreme temperature changes as this may cause them to crack or break.

Model XHGPB45 is a 260 ml borosilicate glass mug with a 76 mm rim and an 80 mm body. The wall pulls in at the middle and opens again at the rim and the base, so the narrowest point is exactly where a hand closes around it. The body is high borosilicate, clear enough to read the colour of the tea through it and stable enough to take a hot pour. Handles run in gold, black, blue or green, applied glass rather than glued, and the body stays clear so the drink is the colour in the cup. This is a 250 ml double wall glass tumbler without a handle. It stands 89 mm tall on an 83 mm rim and weighs 119 g empty. Two borosilicate walls are fused at the rim with about 4 mm of sealed air between them. Air, not a vacuum: a 2 mm glass wall could not survive one atmosphere across that gap. The outer wall runs close to room temperature while the inner wall holds the drink. A cold drink condenses on the inner wall, sealed away from the room, so the outside never leaves a ring on the desk. It slows heat loss in both directions rather than holding a temperature. A fused glass handle and four other capacities from 105 to 475 ml are available to order. Packed six to a carton, stock ships in 5 to 20 days, custom production in 30 to 45 days. At 440 ml it takes a large latte, a 400 ml juice bottle or a highball with room for ice, and the clear body shows the colour of whatever is in it.
